When I decided to create and publish my own website, I had no idea what I was getting in to. I had visions of this amazing place with whirling flash and graphics that would knock-your-socks off. I think I accomplished some of this, but have reached the end of my HTML knowledge pool; it was shallow to begin with.
Finally, though, I think I have a website that I'm mostly happy with. It'll do, anyway, until I have enough money to pay someone to produce the fantastic site I envisioned for myself. Hopefully, shortly after I get an agent and a publisher frothing-at-the mouth for one of my manuscripts. I can dream.

The End of ZAPP (For Me)
I finished up my time at ZAPP last week. I learned to sort and review and I learned about Zines--something I knew nothing about 'till I spent time at the ZAPP archive in Seattle. ZAPP is an amazing place with the largest public Zine collection in the United States. I told everyone the world, but that might have been overselling it.
ZAPP is housed at Hugo House, a literary collective named after the Northwest Mystic Poet: Richard Hugo. The archive, formerly housed in the basement at Hugo House, has moved to the second floor: a more permanent space.
ZAPP and Hugo House are always looking for volunteers. If you don't have the time to volunteer, you can join Hugo House as a member. Student memberships are available.
